One of the biggest fears when shopping through an agent is simple: what if the item is wrong?QC (quality control) photosrehearsal (try-on) service. This guide explains both, so you know exactly what you are getting before your parcel leaves China.
What are QC photos?
When your item reaches Mulebuy's Huizhou warehouse, staff photograph the actual product you will receive, not the seller's marketing image. Mulebuy includes 3-7 free QC photos
How to actually read a QC photo
Do not just glance and approve. Spend a minute on:
- Colour
- Stitching and seams, looking for loose threads or crooked lines.
- Logos and text, checking spelling, spacing and placement.
- Size and label, confirming the tag matches what you ordered.
- Soles and hardware
If 3-7 photos are not enough, you can order extra photos at 1.5 CNY each
The rehearsal (try-on) service
QC photos show the item lying flat, but they cannot tell you how it fits. That is what Mulebuy's rehearsal service (20 CNY)
When is a rehearsal worth it?
- You are between sizes
- The piece is expensive
- You are buying a gift
For a cheap basic where fit barely matters, the standard free photos are usually plenty.
What to do if the QC shows a problem
If the photos reveal a defect, the wrong colour or a mismatched size, do not approve the item for shipping. This is exactly why QC exists: while the product is still at the Huizhou warehouse, you have options that disappear once it is on a plane. Depending on the situation and the seller, you may be able to request a replacement or a refund. Raise it promptly and keep your messages specific, referencing the photo and the exact issue. The whole point of inspecting before shipping is to fix problems on the cheap side of the ocean.
What QC cannot do
Be realistic: a QC photo confirms what the item looks like, but it is not a lab test. It will not verify hidden material quality, long-term durability or authenticity claims. Use QC to catch the obvious problems (wrong colour, visible defects, incorrect size) and treat everything else with normal shopping judgement.
QC and rehearsal: a simple routine
Build a habit and inspections stop feeling like a chore. When your QC arrives, open each photo full-size, compare it against the seller's listing, and check the five points above. If anything about fit is uncertain and the item matters, add a rehearsal before you decide. Only once you are satisfied should you release the item into your consolidation box. A couple of minutes here routinely saves days of back-and-forth later.
Putting it together
Find your product on W2Cspreadsheet, browse the categoriessearch, order through Mulebuy, review the free QC photos, add a rehearsal if fit matters, and only then ship. Fees and policies can change, so check the official site
